Attorney Laurynn McGowen
We are pleased to announce that Laurynn McGowen, an esteemed attorney, has joined Davis and Associates as the Managing Attorney for the Dallas area. Laurynn holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at Arlington and earned her Juris Doctor from the Southern University Law Center.
Prior to attending law school, Laurynn honed her skills and deepened her understanding of the legal field through internships at an Immigration and Family Law firm. Her legal education was further enriched by internships at a Criminal Defense firm and the Dallas Public Defender’s office. At the Southern University Law Center, Laurynn was an active member of Women in Law and the Black Law Students Association (BLSA). She also contributed significantly to various legal clinics, gaining hands-on experience in Family Law, Immigration, Criminal Law, and Juvenile Law.
In 2021, Laurynn returned to her hometown of Dallas, Texas, after practicing at a distinguished criminal defense law firm in Fort Worth, Texas. There, she amassed significant courtroom experience, representing defendants in criminal cases and developing a comprehensive understanding of the judicial process.
Now with Davis & Associates, Laurynn applies her vast legal knowledge and courtroom experience with a compassionate and efficient approach to Family Law. She is dedicated to assisting individuals and families through challenging times, providing guidance on matters such as divorce and custody. Brendan Davis completed his undergraduate studies in Political Science at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and subsequently obtained his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Miami School of Law. Leveraging his extensive background in managing a prominent consumer law firm across various regions, Brendan now applies his considerable knowledge and skills to his own practice, which is focused on protecting and enhancing the futures of his clients.
